THE RIGHT OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND RECTIFICATION OF THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF SOCIAL INFORMATION (CNIS) AS A BASIS FOR PREVENTIVE ACTION IN THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The National Register of Social Information (CNIS) has been used by the National Social Security Institute (INSS) to recognize social security rights since 2002. The availability of the CNIS extract to citizens through the MEU INSS portal is an important means of accessing this information and the service of Updating Links and Remuneration via Central 135 for rectifying this data. The guarantee of these rights allows for preventive action within the scope of the social security administrative process, but cannot result in the transfer to the citizen of the state's duty to inspect the databases that make up this register. The aim of this article is to describe and analyze documents relating to the CNIS and aimed at ensuring the rights of access to information and rectification of this register. It is a bibliographical study that aims to contribute to a reflection on the importance of these rights and to preventive action by social security law in the administrative sphere.
