Pós-feminicídio invisibilidade que atinge direitos de crianças e adolescentes
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper addresses the invisibility of those who have lost their mothers to femicide, a heinous gender crime brought in by Law No. 13.104/2015, to the justice system and also to the public authorities, in terms of the lack of a specific look at the group of boys and girls in this situation. The number of women is growing every year, and it is clear that they have not yet been guaranteed the right to life. Furthermore, femicide does not end with the death of these victims; there are repercussions for the indirect victims, notably their children, who cannot be ignored, especially in the infancy stage, under penalty of damaging the rights of children and adolescents, who are extremely vulnerable due to their biological condition and age. According to the Federal Constitution and the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, this group must be treated with absolute priority and receive special protection. Through bibliographical research, we hope to contribute to the exploration of the subject, given the scarce literature in Brazil (Almeida, 2016), as well as to the formulation of psychological and social support measures for children and adolescents who are left without their mothers. It can be seen that the lack of a national database to adequately track these people has led to the slow formulation and implementation of public policies that are concerned with this social problem. Faced with this reality, it is necessary to pay attention to this issue, which cannot remain invisible in the eyes of society and the actions of public authorities.
